How does the calculator work?
It uses the prices posted at our store at #107, 5303 Magasin Ave, Beaumont, AB T4X 1V8. For drop-off, it multiplies your weight by $2.50 per pound (regular clothes). For self-serve, it finds the cheapest mix of washers that fits your laundry, then adds drying time for each load.
The assumptions
- Each washer is filled to about 75% of its rated capacity: small 15 lb, medium 22 lb, large 30 lb.
- Small and medium loads dry in the 30 lb dryer ($1 per 8 minutes); large loads in the 40 lb dryer ($1 per 6 minutes). Dryer time is rounded up to the next coin.
- Drying time is your estimate. Thick towels, jeans and hoodies need longer than shirts.
- Detergent and softener aren't included. Bulky items and pickup are priced by quote.

Calculator questions
How much does 15 lb of laundry cost in Beaumont?
At Beaumont Laundromat, 15 lb of regular clothes costs $37.50 for drop-off wash and fold. Doing it yourself costs about $10.50 with 40 minutes of drying per load.
Is it cheaper to do my own laundry at the laundromat?
In dollars, yes: self-serve is usually cheaper than drop-off. For 30 lb it's about $17.00 self-serve versus $75.00 dropped off. Drop-off saves you the time spent washing, drying and folding. Compare both in wash and fold vs doing it yourself.
How full should I fill a laundromat washer?
About three-quarters full. The calculator assumes 15 lb in the small 20 lb washer, 22 lb in the medium 30 lb washer, 30 lb in the large 40 lb washer, so clothes have room to tumble and come out clean.
Can I wash comforters in the self-serve machines?
The door sign asks customers not to put bed covers or pet items in the machines. Comforters, blankets and duvets can go through drop-off instead — call 780-233-3099 for a price.
Does the calculator include pickup and delivery?
No. Pickup and delivery is priced by quote because it depends on your address. Send your estimate on WhatsApp and ask us to add pickup.
